General Comments:
I have Dreamlife and it ROCKS!!! You can go to school, the mall, salon, rec center, your BFF's home, and your home. Each game is 90 days, but school days are only like 3 min.and weekends are like up to 5 min depending how long you do stuff.Another thumbs-down is that parties and dances are stupid.I mean all you can do is talk, talk,TALK!!And when you get a computer all you can do is study and IM a friend.but other than that it's SOOOOO much fun! So don't just sit there!BUY IT!!!!

Great Game, Like Real Life

(Review From Amazon)
General Comments:
I got this game for my 10th birthday because i saw the commercials on Nickelodeon and begged for it. I loved it, but then (3-star durability) the wire ripped in the car door so when u turned it on, you could only hear the music. I got a new one for my 11th birthday.

It's a simple game but SUPER fun, easy to play.
You turn it on, and there's a screen that says START (where you create a new girl, LOAD (where you can choose from 2 previously caved games, and OPTIONS where you can turn the music on and off and adjust volume. The colors are bright, in orange, green, pink, purple, teal blue, etc.

if you select START, you'll create a character. You name your girl, (up to 9 letters for her name) and you choose what she looks like. Later in the game you can shop and buy clothes. Then you can choose how athletic, how brainy, how creative, how funny, and how outgoing she is. you then pick the design and color of your room. Later in the game you can go to the furniture and room accessorie stores at the mall (Furni + Roomporium) to decorate further. you're ready to play. in the beginning it takes like 10 seconds to know what to do, because it tells you and its very simple. your house consists of two rooms, the kitchen and your bedroom. theres your closet too, where you can get dressed. You can study with the books. You can go to bed earlier than it makes you. You can practice after-school activities (that you sign up for at the rec center) and you can look at your address book to read about your friends and see what upcoming homework due-dates, test dates, and parties and school dances there are. There is a school dance each season, and there are three seasons in the school year (there is no summer on dreamlife), Fall, Winter, and Spring.
In the kitchen, you do chores for money. You just click on a chore and you get the money. Sometimes, there'll be one chore to do, but sometimes there'll be five. In the kitchen you can call your friends and talk to them.
You go to school monday thru friday. There is no clock or Dreamlife time, just in the bottom left corner of the screen there is a circle that has a sun/moon. In early morning when u wake up the sun will be poking out of the left side, and in the middle of the day it'll be at the top, and when it gets to late evening it'll be at the bottom right, and will turn into a moon. When the moon gets to the top of the circle, it's bedtime. When the sun is on the left side of the circle, fully out and a tiny bit above ground, then its school time. You can miss school and come late also. you dont do anything at school, it just passes. It ends when the sun is at the right side of the circle.
Then you can make a best friend; its just like making your person, but you dont pick what their room looks like. You can go to your best friends house during the game to talk and do things together. Sometimes she will give you gifts (her shirt or her skirt/pants)
At the salon, you can change your hairstyle, make-up, and haircolor.
At school dances, if you have a really good crush, you'll dance together "like a dream come true". you can buy really expensive dresses, then sell them after the dance ;-)
At the mall, there is "Fashionably Formal" the store with really nice stuff (I usually go there for dresses for upcoming school dances), funky footwear (shoe store), alley kat (accesorie store), fab fad (accesorie store), furni (furniture and room decor store), Roomporium (furniture and room decor store), alternation (clothes store), miss misc (accesorie store) activitoes (shoe store), and Josi's (my favorite store ever a clothes store). theres also a mall hangout where you can talk to other people.
at parties, they're at your best friends house, you can mingle with other people. it raises your "friends" bar.
you need2 get good grades too! study and work on homework whenever your address book says you have an upcoming test or homework due day. when you ace a test, your parents will give you money for something like a tv, computer, or a phone for your room.

for the rest, just buy the game and you will enjoy it! if you have any questions, comment here, I check very frequently A-T-T so dont hesitate. i will answer any question. i'm a dreamlife expert.

Nice game concept...but gets boring FAST!

(Review From Amazon)
General Comments:
My 9 yr old daughter had been asking for this item for over a year now, and this year she finally got it for Christmas. While she was really excited to finally have it, she quickly became bored with it, and has only played with it twice since then. I personally think this game has good concept but it doesn't have enough to keep the tween girls' interest, especially those who are used to playing more advanced video games ie. GAMEBOY, X-BOX, PLAYSTATION ETC.. Might be better for a younger age range.

Really cute game for girls

(Review From Amazon)
General Comments:
My 10 year old daughter and 6 year old niece love playing this game.
It's easy to play and setup. The graphics are good. I like the idea
that the players are allowed to earn money by doing their homework
and chores. The players also interact with freinds they create. And
of course there is shopping.
